CHAUCER FINE ARTS LTD

Chaucer Fine Arts, established in 1977, has an extensive and highly specialised collection of Italian and Flemish 17th and 18th century Old Master Paintings and Drawings, Sculpture & Works of Art and Antiquities. We are also experts in 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, pre-Revolutionary Russian Paintings, the Russian Avant Garde & Stage and Costume Designs for the Ballets Russes.

Our expertise has been developed over many years and provides the basis for expert advice in the formation and extension of fine collections.

Our stock can be viewed in confidential showing rooms in London, Rome and Pietrasanta. We exhibit internationally in public museums and trade fairs. We are pleased to accept works of art on consignment on a commission basis.

Loans to Museums in 2004 and 2005 include: Palazzo Reale, Milan Il Gran Teatro del Mondo; Musées de la Cour d’Or, Metz Monsù Desiderio, Rome, Il Settecento a Roma.

Recent exhibitions have included Russia: from Empire to Utopia (2002), Artist by Artists (2003), The 17th Century: Painting, Sculpture & Works of Art (2004), Diaghilev & Les Ballets Russes (2004). Exhibition catalogues are available on request.
